Although the past year has been challenging for everyone and we have found ourselves in very unprecedented times, Bond It has managed to steer through the choppy waters and have continued to offer our services to customers without too many disruptions.

It is very unfortunate and saddening that the Covid-19 Pandemic has had such negative effects on employment nationwide and seeing many local small business have to close their doors is hitting local economies hard.

For Bond It, however, lockdown has had a huge positive impact on our Yorkshire based firm. With DIY projects hitting an all time record high, sales and productivity levels rocketed within the business throughout the summer. As a result we have had to invest in new people to help manage the business to ensure the high standards we offer are maintained.

New to the Sales Team this month is Kelsey McArthur, who joins our internal sales team, under the Management of David Carmichael (Sales Office Manager) as an Office Apprentice. Kelsey, will learn about sales office and accounts functions and offer support to both departments. He will be learning how to manage our "Therefore Document Management" systems supporting the integrity and access to documents from receipt of the initial customer order through despatch and the preparation of invoices. He will be working towards a Level 3 Business Administration qualification while adding value for the business.

We have invested heavily in the local Apprentice Schemes since our conception in 2002, and Kelsey is our 12th Apprentice to take their first steps into the world of Manufacturing with Bond It. We have had major success stories with these schemes thus far; all 12 of the apprentices we have employed have all successfully achieved their chosen qualifications. For Bond it this has also allowed us to assess and identify potential skill and ability of these candidates as they have worked through their apprenticeships and 9 of the 12 are now in full time employment across all facets and levels of the Company, including middle management roles.

We are a big believer in investing in our future and look forward to creating more roles of this kind.
