Technically 1st Class!

Technically 1st Class!

Meet Amy Oxley: our new Regulatory and Technical Data Manager, responsible for ensuring our products hit all the legal requirements and ISO demands.

Graduating from Huddersfield University at the top of her class with a first class Chemistry degree in 2011, Amy won the coveted Chancellor's Prize (presented to her by the actor Patrick Stewart). Quite a start, we think you'll agree, but it didn't stop there: the very next day she began work at Lubrizol in Huddersfield as their Development Chemist where she spent the next ten years (the last two as Quality Manager, heading up their QC, QA and QMS operations). So how did we manage to grab her, you may ask?

It was all down to the arrival of child number two: Finley, to go with his older brother Rory who is now five and a half. Being on Maternity leave gave Amy the opportunity to reflect on her career to date and to look around to see what options were available. At exactly the same time we were actively searching for a new Manager to head up our Technical facility, she applied "Just to see what was on offer, really" and the rest is history.

Home life is Finley, Rory and of course husband Simon, who she freely admits she snagged by drawing him in via her speciality dish: Thai Fish Curry, made to a high degree of technical accuracy and with all safety considerations ticked. These days her free time is all football practice and Disney movies, but before the family arrived you might find them both in the mosh pit at a Metallica concert or most definitely Foo Fighters (she likes the heavy stuff, Simon has a more eclectic taste but they both agree on Dave and the lads).

So what does Amy want to bring to the role here at Bond It? "I want to get it right", she says, "I don't want to cut any corners or get into any bad habits, legislation is changing all the time and I want to get things set in place now so that in the future the hard work is done and we can run smoothly in a safe and productive manner".

Well said Amy. Welcome on board.
