Helmsman Sails On!

Helmsman Sails On!

It is with great sadness that we see Graham Helm, Operations Director, retire on 7th May 2021 at the spritely age of 66.

Graham has headed up the Operations Division of Bond It for over 16 years, with responsibility for manufacturing, finance and procurement. He came with the fixtures and fittings of the Company premises we purchased back in 2005 😊 and has since been instrumental in a number of milestones along the way. He has been involved with the rapid growth and achievements of the Company, including ISO Accreditation for Quality Management Systems, Safety At Work, Capital Investments and plant expansion as well as procuring all the fleet vehicles (he bags the keys immediately - see below) for both logistics and salesmen, to name but a few outstanding projects.

As "Helmsman" of his ship he has steered his departments through the ups and downs of a volatile marketplace with a smile and professionalism which will be greatly missed.

He is looking forward to retirement and has an extensive bucket list that he wishes to complete. This will cover lots of travel and holidays, attending lots of sporting events (he is an avid cricket, football and horse racing junkie), learning to cook and play the piano, and enjoying spending more time with his grandchildren.

He admitted that Rugby League had never interested him until he came to Bond It, but since our 10 year sponsorship of the Huddersfield Giants he has learned to love the game and is passionate about following the Super League. He is hoping to still attend home matches and blag free tickets to the box we hold where possible, but he will most certainly become a season ticket holder and follow and support the Giants!

Graham would like to extend his thanks to all his work colleagues, past and present, along with customers and suppliers, all of whom have contributed to the growth and success of the Company during his time with Bond It.

We wish Graham a happy retirement and pleasure in following his chosen leisure pursuits. Good luck Graham and our thoughts are with Marion - I hope she can cope!!!
