How to make an emergency roof repair

How to make an emergency roof repair

Sealacryl provides immediate waterproofing for emergency roof repairs, even on damp surfaces.

What you’ll need

Sealacryl, stiff brush, paintbrush or roller, scraper, safety gloves and goggles, white spirit.

1. Preparation

  • Remove dirt, debris, moss and loose material from the area.

  • Remove standing water where possible.

  • Fill large gaps with bitumen mastic if required.

2. Application

  • Stir Sealacryl thoroughly.

  • Apply a thick, even coat over the repair area, working into cracks.

  • Reinforce with scrim if the area is subject to movement.

3. Curing

  • Provides instant waterproofing.

  • Touch dry in 6–8 hours and fully cured in 24–48 hours.

  • Apply a second coat after 2–3 days if required.

Key tips

  • Do not thin the product.

  • Apply between +5°C and +35°C.

  • Not suitable for balconies or walkways.
