Filling cracks with ready mix filler

Instant filler provides a quick, paintable solution for repairing cracks, holes and surface imperfections.

What you’ll need

Ready-mixed filler, filling knife, scraper, dust brush or vacuum, fine grit sandpaper.

1. Preparation

  • Remove loose material and clean the area thoroughly.

  • Widen cracks slightly to improve filler adhesion.

2. Application

  • Apply filler using a filling knife, slightly overfilling the area.

  • Smooth with a damp knife before it sets.

  • Allow to dry fully (up to 24 hours for deeper repairs).

3. Finishing

  • Lightly sand once dry.

  • Apply a second coat if needed.

  • Paint once fully cured.

Key tips

  • Apply deeper fills in layers.

  • Use a mist coat or primer before painting.

  • Check for shrinkage and reapply if necessary.
